Randy VanderVeen Ohio Buck

Here’s a very nice Ohio buck from my friend Randy VanderVeen of Grand Rapids.

Hi Mike,

I hope your able to get out quite a bit this fall.
How’s your season going?

Here are a few pics of a buck I took in Ohio near Bill’s place.
This was from a farm I was able to get permission to hunt by
knocking on doors this past spring.

My 2 sons-in-law and I scouted and prepped a few trees for our
treesaddles in the spring. However, all the corn was still up
last week and messed up our funnel situations.

So last week I prepped a new tree and got this buck Tuesday pm.
Wednesday AJ almost got a shot at another shooter from
the same tree, and Joel had 2 shooters come in on Thursday.

Talk about a hot tree.

John Eberhart told me that as of last week, only 16% of the corn
was down according to the Ag dept. That was the lowest number on
record for that date. Too much moisture.

I still listen to your podcasts every week since you’re not on
the air here in GR.
